Trying the Child Abuse Case

The child abuse team is an integral tool to successfully prosecute a case and protect a child victim. Hear from child abuse practitioners from the same multi-disciplinary teams from different jurisdictions across the country on how they work together to build a case.

Presentations will include a wide range of topics, for example: 

  • a prosecutor-doctor team will discuss medical neglect
  • a detective-prosecutor team will present building a trafficking case
  • a prosecutor-forensic interviewer will offer guidance on establishing corroboration around disclosures

This course is open to child abuse prosecutors, law enforcement, and affiliated professionals.

Special Discounts:

  • The first attendee from an office pay full tuition, then each additional attendee from the same office will receive a $50 discount when registered at the same time.
  • Multidisciplinary teams of three or more disciplines will receive a $50 discount on all registrations. Please email the Course Director Kristi Browning or Project Coordinator Cierra Jenkins with your team members’ contact information in order to receive the discount.
  • All active military members will receive a 10% discount on the course registration. Military members are not eligible for the $50 team discount.

NDAA Cancellation, Refund & Substitution Policy:

Please submit all requests to NDAA in writing via email to Cierra Jenkins at cjenkins@ndaajustice.org. All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made 30 calendar days prior to the first day of the NDAA event to receive a full refund.  Full refunds cannot be approved for requests received after this date.  Should you need to cancel your registration less than 30 days but more than 14 days before the event, a 75% refund will be granted with a written request.  NDAA regrets that refunds will not be given for cancellations within 14 days of the event or for no-shows.  Note, registration fee credit can no longer be applied to a different NDAA course or event.  However, substitutions are gladly accepted at any time. Should another office member want to attend the course in your place please contact Cierra Jenkins at cjenkins@ndaajustice.org.  

 

Anticipated CLE credits will be 15  hours. All attendees will receive a Uniform CLE Certificate at the end of the course. Attorneys seeking CLE credit should contact their state bar for more information. Attendees representing other disciplines should contact their reporting agencies for more information.

$130.00 – Single/Double – plus tax

  • Room rate includes complimentary high-speed internet access in guestroom
  • The hotel group room rate will be applicable three (3) days prior and three (3) days after the official group program dates based on availability
