Position: Executive Director for Washington Association of Prosecuting Attorneys

Employment Type: Full Time; Non-Bargaining; Full Benefits
Starting Salary Range: $120,000 to 160,000 annually range may vary depending on experience and qualifications;
Brief Duties and Responsibilities: Legislative expertise and advocacy on behalf of the 39 Washington Prosecuting Attorneys; providing for continuing legal education focused upon the criminal, civil, and ethical duties of Prosecuting Attorneys; coordination and assistance in addressing criminal, civil, and ethical issues within each county and amongst counties; association budgeting, contracting and daily supervision of 3 employees, as well as oversight of 9 employees working for the child support project director; frequent coordination with state agencies and government associations. The position requires the ability to quickly assess novel circumstances and provide timely advice. The applicant should have knowledge of political, community and economic issues related to or affecting criminal prosecution. The applicant should have an ability to work with other viewpoints effectively. The applicant should have an excellent work ethic, desire for legislative engagement and a commitment to public service and the pursuit of justice.
Requirements: Law school graduate and a member of the WSBA;, preference given to those who have experience working within a Prosecuting Attorneys Office; valid Washington State Driver’s License.
