The Douglas County District Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time Senior Assistant District Attorney. The successful candidate’s primary assignment will include prosecution of high-level sex crimes cases involving adult and juvenile victims with the office’s Special Victims Unit. Position requirements include a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and at least five years of progressively responsible criminal practice. Experience handling high-level criminal cases highly desired. Additionally, the successful candidate must be admitted to the practice of law and in good standing before the Supreme Court of the State of Kansas. Successful candidate must also pass a criminal background check. Preferred successful candidate would be a Douglas County resident or one willing to relocate to Douglas County. Salary $71,632.20-105,601.60 and includes a generous benefits package.
