National Store Walk Month is a groundbreaking initiative conceived by the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) and the National District Attorneys Association (NDAA). National Store Walk Month serves a solution-oriented response to the growing challenge of organized retail crime and its significant societal impact.

Strengthening Community Safety Through Collaborative Action

The National Store Walk Month seeks to forge an unprecedented partnership between local prosecutors and community retailers. Starting in September and continuing through the fall, District Attorneys across the country will be walking retail stores in tandem with management teams. Their joint venture aims to foster understanding, exchange insights, and build synergistic strategies to address retail crime and other unlawful activities occurring in and around our stores. This collaborative approach promises to yield a more comprehensive understanding of the challenges at hand and cultivate a united, efficient response to combat them.
