The Digital Trial: A Hands-On Lab

NDAA’s 2020 Digital Prosecutor prepares attendees to create a technological experience for their trials. This course will be a mix of lectures, tutorials, and small-format labs. Each lab will be facilitated by experienced faculty. Attendees will present a sample closing using digital evidence learned and created during the week.

Sessions include:

  • Tutorials in advanced PowerPoint, video capture and redaction, 3D imaging, and audio editing software;
  • Maintaining ethical standards in a digital trial;
  • Sample openings, closings, and exhibits from real trials using advanced technology;
  • And a forensic examiner on the workings of digital devices and presenting expert testimony.

Each attendee MUST bring a laptop that can support PowerPoint and editing software. Because of the lab format, the capacity for this course will be limited.

NDAA Cancellation, Refund & Substitution Policy:

Please submit all requests to NDAA in writing via email to Project Coordinator Metria Hernandez at mhernandez@ndaajustice.org. All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made 30 calendar days prior to the first day of the NDAA event to receive a full refund.  Full refunds cannot be approved for requests received after this date.  Should you need to cancel your registration less than 30 days but more than 14 days before the event, a 75% refund will be granted with a written request.  NDAA regrets that refunds will not be given for cancellations within 14 days of the event or for no-shows.  Note, registration fee credit can no longer be applied to a different NDAA course or event.  However, substitutions are gladly accepted at any time. Anticipated CLE credits will be 15 hours including 1 hour of ethics. All attendees will receive a Uniform CLE Certificate at the end of the course. Attorneys seeking CLE credit should contact their state bar for more information. Attendees representing other disciplines should contact their reporting agencies for more information.
