Attention all managers and supervisors in government attorney’s office’s – NDAA is offering three sessions the week of October 13th, 2020 designed just for you! The government attorney’s office may be; military, civilian, tribal government, federal or state and local. These sessions are designed for attorneys and non-attorney administrators. We welcome chief prosecutors tasked with both administrative and litigation responsibilities, attorney-administrators have transitioned from litigation to purely administrative duties, and non-attorney administrators with hands-on working relationships with attorney litigators. Applying general management principles with practical experiences, our faculty members will arm you with the type of real-world knowledge that will aid you in evaluating and dealing with administrative problems unique to your offices.

Are you stuck in the evaluation rut? Does the thought of assessing the work of employees who for a significant portion of the year have been working remotely due to the COVID 19 Pandemic leave you scratching your head? If so, then this is the webinar for you! The faculty member will overview a variety of performance appraisal systems for all employees, attorneys, investigators, and administrative professional staff. The pros and cons of each system will be highlighted. Other ideas that will be discussed include: consistent documentation of merit-generating behavior as well as situations which involve disciplinary measures; accurate assessment of growth and improvement systems to deal with low performances; interpretation of evaluation results; use of outside consultants; and salary or other incentive-based rewards. CLE

Continuing Legal Education Credits: 1.5 hours

This course is pending approval in Georgia, Kansas, Ohio, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia. NDAA will not be applying for CLE credit in the state of Texas. Many states will allow attorneys to receive CLE credit for virtual courses that have been approved in one of these states through reciprocity or self-submission. Please speak with your CLE accrediting body to ensure that they will allow you to self-submit the course for approval if your state is not listed above.

GoToWebinar will log each attendee’s “time in session” for the webinar. All attendees who sign into the webinar and complete the session will be sent a copy of the PowerPoint presentation, speaker biography, and a Uniform CLE Certificate from NDAA staff following the event.

Attendees must self-submit this course for approval in their home state. All attorneys are responsible for any fees associated with CLE filing. Attorneys seeking CLE credit should contact their state bar associations for more information.
