There is evidence that a juror’s initial impression of a case is consistent with their ultimate verdict, making jury selection and opening statement critical parts of a trial. Regardless of the parameters in your jurisdiction, jury selection and opening statements provide the earliest opportunity for prosecutors to build rapport with the jury, present a case theme, and frame issues in a way that supports the case theory and evidence.
Join NDAA for a two-and one-half day course dedicated to jury selection and opening statements. This course will focus on best practices and strategies to help you with organization, preparation, presentation, and more. This is a must attend for any prosecutor who is currently trying cases, and as part of the NDAA Trial Advocacy Series, this is a course you will not want to miss!
