September 11 - 13, 2023
Milwaukee, WI
There is evidence that a juror’s initial impression of a case is consistent with their ultimate verdict. This makes jury selection and opening statement critical parts of a trial. Regardless of the parameters in your jurisdiction, jury selection and opening statements provide the earliest opportunity for prosecutors to build rapport with the jury, present a case theme, and frame issues in a way that supports the case theory and evidence.
Join NDAA for a two-and one-half day course dedicated specifically to jury selection and opening statement. This course will focus on best practices and strategies to help you with organization, preparation, presentation, and more. This course is well suited for all experience levels and especially prosecutors in jurisdictions with attorney-conducted voir dire. As part of NDAA’s 2023 Trial Advocacy Series, this is a course you will not want to miss!
