Being an elected or appointed prosecutor is challenging—now more than ever. Being relatively new to the position makes this tough job even more daunting.

Drawing from the successful and not-so-successful experiences of first-term elected and appointed prosecutors, this course will provide a road map that will help you successfully revamp your office culture to align with your vision, create or maintain high employee morale, recruit and retain top performers, leverage (rather than fear) the media and effectively executive the vision you were elected or appointed to pursue. The NDAA Executive Course will be held immediately following the First-Term Leader course. These two courses were designed to be complementary to one another. Accordingly, there is reduced cost option available to attend both courses.

The National District Attorneys Association (NDAA), with the assistance of the American College of Trial Lawyers Foundation, is able to provide tuition assistance for Prosecutors who would like to attend our courses. Please find information regarding scholarship eligibility and the application process here.
Tuition must be paid in full prior to the first day of the course. You will not be admitted if you have an outstanding balance. If you would like to make a payment on-site, please see the Program Director upon arrival.

NDAA Cancellation, Refund & Substitution Policy:
Please submit all requests to NDAA in writing via email to Logan Silverman at lsilverman@ndaajustice.org. All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made 30 calendar days prior to the first day of the NDAA event to receive a full refund. Full refunds cannot be approved for requests received after this date. Should you need to cancel your registration less than 30 days but more than 14 days before the event, a 75% refund will be granted with a written request. NDAA regrets that refunds/credit will not be given for cancellations within 14 days of the event or for no-shows. However, substitutions are gladly accepted at any time. Should another office member want to attend the course in your place please contact Logan Silverman at lsilverman@ndaajustice.org. Training credit must be applied to a new registration prior to September 30, 2022.

Anticipated CLE credits will be 10.25 hours including 1.25 hours of ethics.
NDAA has applied for CLE credit in Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, Ohio, Pennslyvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia based on state requirements and guidelines. All other attorneys seeking CLE credit should contact their state bar for more information. At the conclusion of the course and after completion of the electronic evaluation survey, all attendees will receive a uniform continuing education certificate that they may use to report their continuing education hours to their state bar or reporting agency. This course is suitable for all prosecutors (state and local, federal, military, and tribal). Recommended attendees include elected or appointed chief prosecutors, first assistant prosecutors, deputy chief prosecutors and other executive level personnel.
