The Forensic Evidence Course is designed with the entire prosecution team in mind! The challenges facing prosecutors, local law enforcement, investigators in prosecutor’s offices as well as the laboratory professionals are increasing exponentially with the use by defendants of 21st-century sources of evidence.  With the variety of forensic evidence that must be collected, processed and retained, there is a need to make sure that prosecutors and their teams know the ins and outs managing complex, 21st-century evidence.

This course covers foundational basics as well as:

  • Body Worn Cameras: The Burdens and Advantages
  • The Visual Trial- Using Technology to Present Persuasive Evidence
  • Cross Examining Defense Scientific Experts
  • The Digital Crime Scene
  • Overcoming Defense Attacks: The “Tainted Crime Lab”
  • Ethics
  • Panel: Lesson Learned from Hard Losses

ELIGIBILITY: Prosecutors (state and local, federal, military, and tribal), law enforcement personnel, judges, forensic professionals involved in criminal investigation and prosecution and other members of the prosecution team.

Full Virtual Series (CLE  Credit Hours 13.75)

Individual Sessions:

Session#1 – $50.00 member and $55.00 non-member (CLE Credit Hour 1.00)

Session#2 – $63.00 member and $70.00 non-member (CLE Credit Hours 1.25)

Session#3 – $100.00 member and $110.0 non-member (CLE Credit Hours 2.00)

Session#4 –  $67.00 member and $100.00 non-member (CLE Credit Hours 1.75)

Continuing Legal Education Credits: 13.75 hours

This course is pending approval in Georgia, Kansas, Ohio, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia. NDAA will not be applying for CLE credit in the state of Texas. Many states will allow attorneys to receive CLE credit for virtual courses that have been approved in one of these states through reciprocity or self-submission. Please speak with your CLE accrediting body to ensure that they will allow you to self-submit the course for approval if your state is not listed above.

GoToWebinar will log each attendee’s “time in session” for the webinar. All attendees who sign into the webinar and complete the session will be provided a copy of the PowerPoint presentation, speaker biography, and a Uniform CLE Certificate from NDAA staff following the event.

Attendees must self-submit this course for approval in their home state. All attorneys are responsible for any fees associated with CLE filing.
